WHAT IS WE PLAY FPL?
We Play FPL is an iOS app designed for Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers. The app offers several features, including connecting with FPL managers from all over the world, individual and group chats, the ability to track your FPL team’s performance, and make transfer and chip plan for the weeks ahead with points predictions and team ratings.
HOW DO I DOWNLOAD WE PLAY FPL ON MY IPHONE OR IPAD?
- Open the App Store on your device.
- Search for “We Play FPL” in the search bar.
- Select the app from the search results.
- Tap on the “Get” button.
- You may be prompted to enter your Apple ID password or use Touch ID/Face ID to confirm the download.
- Wait for the app to download and install on your device.
- Once the installation is complete, you can open the app and start using it.
Note: We Play FPL requires iOS 16.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
HOW DO I CREATE AN ACCOUNT ON WE PLAY FPL?
To create an account on We Play FPL, simply follow these easy steps:
- Open the app and tap the “Get Started” button.
- We offer a 1-Tap sign in using ‘Continue with Apple’ & ‘Continue with Google’. If You prefer to use your phone number instead, then continue the following steps.
- Enter your phone number and tap “Send Code.” You will receive a message with a 6-digit code.
- Enter the code and tap “Verify.”
- Once Verified you will be prompted to enter your FPL Team ID.
- You may enter your team ID manually or Tap “Auto Grab my Team ID”.
- Preview your team by tapping “Preview” to make sure that is your team.
- Tap “Confirm Team”
- Choose your profile picture (optional), enter your name.
Tap “Set and Finish,” and you’re done!
WHAT KIND OF DATA DOES WE PLAY FPL TRACK ABOUT MY FPL TEAM?
We Play FPL does not track any data about your FPL team. Instead, the app provides you with the necessary data to help you track your own team’s performance.
HOW CAN I ADD FRIENDS IN WE PLAY FPL?
To add friends and connect with them on We Play FPL, you have two options:
Option 1:
- Go to the “Leagues” tab.
- Tap on any league you are part of.
- will see a list of managers who are also in that league.
- any of these managers have an account on We Play FPL, you will notice an “Add Friend” button next to their information.
- Tap on “Add Friend” and wait for them to accept your friend request.
Option 2:
- Go to the “More” tab.
- Tap on “Local Contacts.”
- You will see a list of contacts from your device who also have an account on We Play FPL.
- Tap on the “Add Friend” button next to their name and wait for them to accept your friend request.
Note: To use this method, you will need to grant the app permission to access your contacts.
HOW CAN I CREATE A NEW CHAT ON WE PLAY FPL?
- Go to the “Chats” tab.
- Tap on the “+” icon located on the top right side of the screen.
For Single Chat:
3. Tap on a friend from the list to start a new chat.
Note: If there is a chat already with the friend you chose, the existing chat will open instead of creating a new one.
For Group Chat:
3. Tap “Create Group”.
4. If desired, tap on the camera icon to add a group photo. This step is optional.
5. Enter a name for the group in the provided text field. This step is also optional.
6. Next, select up to 55 of your friends from the list to add them to the group.
7. Once you have selected the participants, tap the checkmark button to create the group.
Note: If you are already part of a group that has the exact same participants, the existing group chat will open instead of creating a new one.
HOW CAN I USE THE SCOREBOARD FEATURE IN CHATS?
The scoreboard feature is automatically available in all chats on We Play FPL. By tapping on “Show Scoreboard” On the top of the chat log, you can view and monitor the performance of all participants within the chat.
HOW CAN I USE HASHTAGS TO ACCESS PLAYER PROFILES AND CHECK THEIR STATS WITHIN A CHAT ON WE PLAY FPL?
- While composing a message in the chat, type the “#” symbol in the text field, or simply tap on ‘Hashtag Player’ quick access button on top of the keyboard.
- As you start typing the name of the player, a list of players will appear, filtered based on what you are typing.
- Tap on the desired player name from the list to add it to your message.
- The player’s name will be highlighted in the chat log.
- Any chat participant can then tap on the player’s name in the chat log to view the player’s profile and access detailed information about the player, including their statistics and upcoming fixtures.
HOW CAN I MAKE FUTURE PLANS FOR MY FPL TEAM AND USE THE PLANNING TOOL IN WE PLAY FPL?
- Open the “Team” tab.
- At the top of the page, you will find a picker that allows you to toggle between your team and planning mode.
- Tap on planning mode to enter the planning interface.
- Enter a name for your plan and tap on “Create” to create a new plan.
- In the planner, you can utilize various features:
– Toggle chips on or off by tapping on the respective chip.
– Tap on players to perform actions such as transferring them, substituting them, setting them as captain or vice-captain, or viewing their profile for detailed stats. - Once you have made the desired changes for a specific Gameweek, tap on “>” to apply the changes and move to the next Gameweek. Alternatively, you can tap on “Save” to save the changes without progressing to the next Gameweek.
HOW CAN I VERIFY MY ACCOUNT AND ADD A VERIFICATION BADGE TO MY PROFILE IN WE PLAY FPL?
- Ensure that you are subscribed to one of our PLUS plans, as verification is available for Plus members only.
- Go to the “More” tab.
- Under your profile name, Tap on “Verify Now”.
- Tap on “Verify Account” to proceed with the verification process.
- A Safari browser window will open within the app, redirecting you to the login page of the Official Fantasy Premier League.
- Enter your FPL account credentials (username and password) to authenticate your FPL account. Please note that We Play FPL does not collect or have access to your username and password.
- Once your FPL account is successfully logged in, your We Play FPL account will be verified.
- As a verified user, a verification badge will be added next to your profile name, indicating that you are a verified FPL manager, and will be visible to everyone.
Note:You have the option to change your FPL password at any time after your account has been verified for added security.
HOW CAN I JOIN GROUP CHATS IN WE PLAY FPL?
To join and participate in group chats on We Play FPL, you need to be added by a group admin. Only group admins have the authority to add participants to their groups.
HOW CAN I CHANGE MY PROFILE INFO ON WE PLAY FPL?
- Go to “More” tab.
- Tap on the section that displays your current profile picture, name, and registered phone number at the top to access the edit profile page.
- On the edit profile page, you can change the following:
Change/Add profile picture:
– Tap on your current profile picture or initials (if no picture is set).
– A menu will appear with options to choose a photo from your device’s photo library or take a new photo using the device’s camera.
– Select the desired option and follow the prompts to either choose a photo or capture a new one.Change your name:
– If you want to use your name as set on your FPL account, turn on the “Use your name from FPL” toggle.
– To manually enter your name, make sure the “Use your name from FPL” toggle is turned off and enter your first and last name as desired.Change your Team ID:
– Tap on “Edit” next to your team id.
– Enter your new team id.
– If you have a verified account, you will have to reverify your account after changing your team id.Note: Remember to tap on the “Save” button to apply the changes you made. If you don’t tap on “Save,” the changes to your profile information won’t be applied.
HOW CAN I LEAVE A GROUP CHAT ON WE PLAY FPL?
- Open the group chat that you wish to leave.
- Tap on the group profile photo located on the top-right corner of the screen.
- Tap on “Leave Group.”
- If you are the only admin of the group, you will be prompted to assign another admin to the group before you can proceed with leaving.
HOW CAN I ASSIGN A NEW ADMIN FOR A GROUP CHAT ON WE PLAY FPL?
You must be the admin of that group chat in order to be able to assign another admin.
- Open the group chat.
- Tap on the profile photo located on the top-right corner of the screen.
- In the participants list, Tap on the person’s name you wish to make an admin for that group.
- Tap on “Make group admin”.
HOW CAN I CHANGE MY TEAM NAME IN WE PLAY FPL?
You need to make the change within your Fantasy Premier League (FPL) account directly. We Play FPL does not have the functionality to modify your team name.
HOW CAN I LOG OUT OF MY WE PLAY FPL APP ACCOUNT?
- Go to the “More” tab
- Tap on the “Sign Out” option.
- A confirmation prompt will appear to confirm your decision to sign out.
HOW CAN I DELETE MY WE PLAY FPL ACCOUNT?
- Go to the “More” tab.
- Scroll down the page until you find the option “Delete Account” Tap on it.
- This will take you to the Delete Account page.
- You need to re authenticate your account using your chosen sign in method before you can delete your account.
- Once verified, a “Delete Account” button will appear, Tap on it.
- A confirmation prompt will appear, asking if you are sure you want to delete your account.
- Confirm your decision.Please note that if you delete your account, It doesn’t affect your information related to the chats you created or the information other users have relating to you, such as their copy of the messages you sent them.
WHAT ARE THE AVAILABLE SUBSCRIPTION PLANS FOR WE PLAY FPL AND HOW CAN I SUBSCRIBE TO THEM?

We Play FPL offers three subscription plans, including a free plan and two paid plans:
1. Free Plan: The free plan provides access to the app’s features, including group chats, scoreboard, player profiles, and team tracking. However, it limits you to one FPL plan and includes ads.2. PLUS Membership: Subscribing to the PLUS membership unlocks additional benefits, such as unlimited FPL plans, the ability to verify your account, and an ad-free experience.
To subscribe to PLUS membership:
1. Open the app and Go to the “More” tab.
2. Look for the section labeled “We Play FPL Plus” and tap on it.
3. You will be directed to the subscription page, and you will find the subscription options.
4. Choose your preferred subscription duration (Monthly or Annual).
5. Tap on “Subscribe” to initiate the subscription process.
HOW CAN I VIEW THE RANKINGS AND SCORES OF PARTICIPANTS IN A SPECIFIC CHAT ON WE PLAY FPL?
- Open the chat you want to view the rankings for.
- Tap on “Show Scoreboard” on the top of the chat log
- In group chats, you will see all participants, including yourself, ranked based on their overall points.
- In single chats, where you are conversing with one other participant, the scoreboard will show a head-to-head view, displaying the scores for the ongoing gameweek.
5. To view more details about a specific participant, including their current team, tap on their name within the scoreboard. This will take you to their profile page.
WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR USING WE PLAY FPL?
We Play FPL is available for iPhone and iPad running iOS 16 or later.
CAN I USE WE PLAY FPL ON MULTIPLE DEVICES WITH THE SAME ACCOUNT?
Yes, you can use We Play FPL on multiple devices with the same account. However, please note that you can only be logged in to your profile on one iPhone and one iPad at a time.
CAN I USE WE PLAY FPL WITHOUT AN INTERNET CONNECTION?
We Play FPL requires an internet connection to function properly. While you can access and view previously loaded data in the app without an internet connection, you won’t be able to send or receive new messages or make any edits. If your internet connection is interrupted while using the app, We Play FPL will prompt you with a message to alert you.
HOW CAN I MUTE NOTIFICATIONS FOR A SPECIFIC CHAT IN THE WE PLAY FPL APP?
- Go to the “Chats” tab in the app.
- Swipe left on the chat that you want to mute. Don’t swipe all the way, as this will delete the chat instead of muting it.
- Tap on the “Mute” button.This action will mute notifications for that particular chat. If you wish to unmute the chat and start receiving notifications again, you can follow the same steps and tap the “Unmute” button.
HOW CAN I BLOCK A USER IN THE WE PLAY FPL APP?
To block a user in the We Play FPL app, you can follow these steps based on different scenarios:
Option 1: Block from individual chat
1. Go to the “Chats” tab in the app.
2. Open the chat with the user you want to block.
3. Tap on their profile picture located in the top right corner to open their profile.
4. Within their profile, you should find an option labeled “Block”.
5. Tap on the “Block” option to block the user.
Option 2: Block from group chat
1. Go to the “Chats” tab in the app.
2. Open the group chat where the user is present.
3. Tap on “Show Scoreboard” to display the participants’ list.
4. Locate the user you want to block in the scoreboard and tap on their name to open their profile.
5. Within their profile, you should find an option labeled “Block”.
6. Tap on the “Block” option to block the user.
Option 3: Block from Friends list
1. Go to the “More” tab in the app.
2. Tap on “Friends” to view your list of friends.
3. Search for the person you want to block within the friends list.
4. Tap on the “Block” button located under their name to block the user.
Note: You will still receive messages from blocked users within group chats, even if the user was blocked using the group chat method.
HOW CAN I UNBLOCK A USER IN THE WE PLAY FPL APP?
To unblock a user in the We Play FPL app, you can follow these steps based on different scenarios:
Option 1: Unblock from individual chat
1. Open the “Chats” tab in the app.
2. Open the chat with the user you want to unblock.
3. Tap on their profile picture located in the top right corner to open their profile.
4. Within their profile, you should find an option labeled “Unblock”.
5. Tap on the “Unblock” option to unblock the user.
Option 2: Unblock from Friends list
1. Go to the “More” tab in the app.
2. Tap on “Friends” to view your list of friends.
3. Search for the person you want to unblock within the friends list.
4. Tap on the “Unblock” button located under their name to unblock the user.
Option 3: Unblock from Blocked list
1. Go to the “More” tab in the app.
2. Tap on “Blocked List” to view your list of blocked users.
3. Search for the person you want to unblock within the list.
4. Tap on their name to unblock.
